Standardisation, explained
"Standardised for bacosides" means each serving is made to contain a consistent, measured amount of the plant's principal active compounds — not simply whatever a given batch of plant happens to provide. It is the difference between a controlled dose and a hopeful one. Our Bacopa delivers 300mg of standardised Bacopa monnieri per daily serving, the dose used in the clinical research.
One ingredient, no hiding
There is one active ingredient in the bottle and we tell you the dose. No proprietary blends, no "cognitive matrix" with the numbers withheld, no stimulants added to manufacture a feeling of it working.
Identity testing
Because "Brahmi" is used in the trade for two different plants — Bacopa monnieri and Centella asiatica — botanical identity is a real issue in this category. Our standard is to confirm, at batch level, that the plant in the bottle is genuine Bacopa monnieri. Where a certificate of analysis is available for a batch, we are happy to share it on request.
Heavy-metal screening
Bacopa is a wetland plant that readily takes up heavy metals from the ground it grows in. Our standard is to screen each batch for contaminants — lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury — before it is released.
What we refuse to put in
- Proprietary blends that hide the dose.
- Stimulants or caffeine.
- Unnecessary fillers.
